Thursday 27 January is the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, the largest Nazi death camp. The 27th of January now marks International Holocaust Memorial Day. On this day we remember all those murdered in the Nazi persecutions, and in the genocides that have followed.
This year we would like to recommend to you the very beautiful and moving book After the War by Tom Palmer. After the War tells the stories of Yossi, Leo and Mordecai, three children who attempt to rebuild their lives in the English Lake District, having survived the horrors of the Nazi concentration camps.
