Lights, Camera, Action - ๐Ÿ“š into ๐Ÿ“ฝ

In celebration of the BAFTAs and the Oscars 2019, we have a display of books that have been made into film for you to browse and borrow.
Lights, Camera, Action - Books into Film in the WML
This year some of the biggest movie releases will be adaptations of books, including The Sun is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon and All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven.  These great YA reads, and many others, are available to borrow from the War Memorial Library.

Andrea Levy
Among the recent adaptations on the small screen is Andrea Levy's Small Island, an intertwining story of two couples, one white and one Jamaican during and after the second world war.  Also, The Long Song, a compelling story about slaves and slave owners in 19th Century Jamaica.  Andrea Levy was an amazing, prize-winning author, who sadly died from cancer on 14th February 2019 at the age of 62.  Both of Small Island and The Long Song are available to borrow from the War Memorial Library
